Updates Hub

The Updates Hub tracks publicly verified news for Road to Jukai—the Endflame psychological horror game published by tinyBuild. Use this section when you want timeline clarity rather than mechanical how-tos. Guides explain how to drive; updates explain what changed in the marketing and release story, from the Silent Road years to the Jukai rename and beyond.

All update pages

  • Silent Road Rename — why the title became Road to Jukai, what tinyBuild’s involvement means, and why the forest name matters.
  • Trailers — roundup of real official trailers with context for each upload.
  • Release Date — the 2027 window, playtest availability, wishlist advice, and honest gaps in the calendar.
  • TinyBuild Connect 2026 — publisher reveal window, rename spotlight, playtest kickoff, and Japanese announcement context.
  • BitSummit Hands-On — spoiler-light Silent Road demo impressions (driving, cabin look, scares) with a hard demo≠final caveat.

Current snapshot

As of the latest public materials used by this wiki: Road to Jukai is coming to PC via Steam, a playtest can be requested now, and the full release targets 2027. The project was formerly Silent Road and was renamed during TinyBuild Connect messaging in September 2026—details on the Connect page above. Earlier BitSummit 2026 hands-on time still used the old title and should be read as preview texture only. It remains single-player psychological horror about a night-shift taxi driver, odd passengers, and a vast haunted forest. For mechanical onboarding, leave this hub and open Getting Started or the Guides Hub.

How we handle rumors

This wiki prefers Steam copy, official trailers, publisher showcases, and developer social posts linked from Official Links. We do not launder unsourced console rumors, invented patch notes, or fake early access dates. If a detail is unconfirmed, the Release Date page says so plainly. Press quotes we do cite—such as Game Rant’s “deeply unsettling” line and ComicBook’s note that the game understands Japanese horror expectations—are labeled as reactions, not system manuals.

How to follow along

  1. Wishlist and follow the Steam page using the Wishlist Guide.
  2. Join Endflame community channels listed on Official Links.
  3. Recheck this Updates Hub after major showcases.
  4. When a trailer drops, read Trailers here, then return to How to Play if you need loop context.
  5. When specs are discussed, compare claims against System Requirements.

Relationship to passengers and guides

Updates rarely replace passenger advice. If a showcase reveals new encounter framing, we still keep archetypes on the Passengers Hub until names are stable. If a playtest wave opens or closes, Join the Playtest is updated alongside Release Date notes.

Bookmark this hub for a clean news index. For everything else—controls, six nights, strange requests—use the cross-links inside each article and the site-wide navigation.
